2022 Asia Pacific Amateur Champion Harrison Crowe and his coach John Serhan discuss taking his game from Amata Spring to Augusta National, and how that preparation would work at Royal Melbourne Golf Club

Ryan Lumsden about the files on the next page of this site

One of the docs has the green maps together with the pin positions from the last AAC at Royal Melbourne in 2014. You will see a number of greens with similar pin positions across the four rounds – this is partly due to some having limited pin positions as we’ve discussed. When you look at these pin positions and match them up with the contour maps, bear in mind the importance of angles into greens to access the sections pins are placed and how you can use the slopes effectively.

The "course management considerations" booklet has some of the notes from things we discussed at camp, together with visuals from TM sim for tee and approach shots. Hopefully, this helps you familiarize yourself with what you’ll be seeing/targeting and gives you a feel for the elevations until you get out there in practice rounds to consolidate your plan, Cheers, Ryan.

Director of Golf at Metropolitan Golf Club Marcus Both talks about how to play Royal Melbourne. Marcus is a former Tour winner on the Asian Tour and has a long term background playing on the famous Melbourne sand-belt courses as both an amateur and professional player.

Make sure that you watch the Scott Barr "on the course" videos. There are pages for all of the 18 holes on the RMGC Composite Course. You will find Scott Barr talking to you about the tee shots, and in some instances the approach shot "best miss" areas.

Anthony Murdaca and Ryan Lumsden discuss the strategies that led to a win the last time the AAC was played at Royal Melbourne GC
